From Seagulls.co.uk Report

With just under half an hour to go, the match turned significantly in Albion's favour. Kerry Mayo had been trying to work a move on the left, but was forced to come back inside. As he laid off the ball, Terrell Forbes arrived with a rash challenge the floored the Ginger Prince.

Aggrievedby the tackle, Mayo got up to take umbrage with the QPR right-back but quickly found himself back on the turf, as Forbes lashed out with his hands and struck him on the face.

Now I know I didn't get to see it on the telly, but from where I was it looked like a rash challenge by Kerry on Forbes, which incensed the QPR player into hitting Kerry in the face with his head (known as a headbutt). I don't know where the official site got this biased version if events.

Apparently Forbes needed stitches in the cut he sustained in the challenge as well.

Odd, and not particularly well worded.

I'd agree. From H Block it was difficult to see exactly what had happened. Watching the game again on TV when we got home, it was clear that Kerry made a somewhat rash - but just about OK - challenge. And was rewarded by a headbutt from Forbes. I don't know about Forbes needing stitches but Kerry looked like he'd got some nasty bruises.

Yes, it is reported that Kerry had a cut above his eye that needed treatment...

Strange that the official site's report is so, well, wrong.
