Crikey, what a grim thread this has been derailed into.

I hope the new Xenforo NSC version has a "thread zap" function.

So your quote is not a quote, but a cherry picked part of a sentence, what`s up can`t win an argument fairly ?

I just picked the part I had a problem with, I don't hate everything you say. I can agree with you on some things, I too do not think we should appoint a manager whose highest level of management experience is WSL Football or similar, but I disagree with you on some of the reasons for that, or that it would necessarily be a failed appointment.

Bit of a COWARD aren`t you, pulling that "leaving the house" shit AGAIN!. It takes a particular type of bottom feeder to troll info from the Mental Health thread to spread throughout the board to try and gain an upper hand .

Coward? I went out for a few beers last night... In your world I'm like Evel Knievel.

You're a sad sexist wanker, of course I have the upper hand in basically every situation in life.

I don't believe any 40 year old virgin incel is capable of making any sort of qualified guess about what women on earth can and cannot do. "That is my opinion and i don`t need your approval on that, because that`s all it is - an opinion."

Corinne Diacre did a good job with Clermont in Ligue 2. No reason other female managers couldn't do the same.

I have a great deal of female friends, and have spoke many times to them on this subject and all of them know i have absolutely no problem with women`s football ,women`s leagues, managers ,cups or anything to do with the women`s game, just keep it seperate from the men`s game .They don`t have a problem with those views but apparently an insignificant little pussweed like you does ?. I didn`t have to troll the Mental Health thread to find that insult.

Obviously I don’t want graham potter to leave but just wanted to say, there is absolutely NO reason why a woman couldn’t excel at this job and it is ridiculous to think a woman would be any less capable than a man.

If he's still here in a year I'll be delighted. Probably one of two things will have happened, we either end up underwhelming into a bottom half finish, or he fancies staying on when we're in Europe.

As to his replacement, it has to be a continuity candidate in terms of tactical nous and personality, not an easy combination as Potter seems very unique.

Part of me would love us to be the first side to employ a female manager, whether Emma Hayes or Sabrina Wiegman. They just feel like a good fit to me.

Not sure Sabrina would do a good job to be honest. She'd call them all 'boys' for a start, which might annoy them.

You are entitled to your opinion, and as long as you are happy to share it on here, I am entitled to pick holes in it, and try and help you form a better one, or at least be able to rationalise your current one better.

In that case F****** quote me accurately or don`t talk to me .

If it makes you happy.

"Leave Men`s football alone !. It has done just fine for 165 years it doesn`t need a makeover from women. Equality in sport does not mean we need 10 male and 10 female top flight managers ,some of the new women commentators we now have are terrible, and a lot of you know this ,but we aren`t allowed to say it - that would be sexist ! ."

That is sexist. Shit commentators have existed since the Premier League was formed.

And now I think I shall exercise the second alternative you suggested.

Plenty of women's teams have male managers and some are amongst the most successful in the game.

Sure, so if the best candidate is a woman I’m fully supportive of that. It’s a big jump from there though to ‘part of me would love to be the first side to appoint a female manager.’ That just sounds like political tokenism rather than having the best interests of our club or female managers in mind.

Edit; just read the rest of the thread and I don’t want to get involved.

That’s fine as a stance for us supporters but I really hope that the club does have a succession plan/shortlist in place because we could need it at any moment. I’m sure it does too.

I’m sure the club have shortlists for potential new managers, and TB has a private shortlist for potential new CEO’s :)

With the way the club is run it wouldn't be a surprise if Potter has had a hand in choosing some of the shortlist. I don't think it'd suit his ethos to not leave a legacy behind him and it'd hurt him to see players he's nurtured treated less well. Also I reckon Bloom and Barber would value his insight on who'd do a good job.

No kid gloves for 40-year-old sexists.

I would need a bloody good time machine to be 40 again ,and i am not in the slightest bit sexist ,remember equality or does that only work one way . And attacking someone who has been diagnosed with multiple MH disorders including severe PTSD is not a case of "Kid gloves" it IS COWARDICE.
