Sorry if fixtures, but did anyone else find this a little odd in The Argus yesterday?

Meanwhile, Poyet has strenuously denied complaints by Steve Brinkhurst’s mother about the manner in which the first year professional was released.
Angela Brinkhurst claims her son only found out when a friend rang to tell him an announcement had been made on the club website.
Poyet said: “We told him in February but he didn’t want to accept it. We told him to leave to go and play football. He said no I am staying here.”
Poyet has apologised for not telling fourth choice keeper Josh Pelling in person that he was not being retained.
He said: “I am really sorry, that was my mistake. We were dealing with Michel (Kuipers). I wanted to talk to Josh but he was somewhere else when we tried to get him up to the office.
“A statement was ready to go out and it went out before we talked to him. I got Charlie (Oatway) to call him at the same time as it was going out.”
