A Harris Hawk in a well run Bird of Prey centre would do for me. Or, as previously mentioned, a pampered cat. I know one who has the time of his life, if he gets fed up chasing the wildlife in his owner's farmyard he wanders up the the village nearby where he has a variety of foster parents who also make a fuss of him. Unfortunately he has been "done"!

Good point. My take on what the OP said, this would mean that everything that ever will happen has already happened and someone must have decided to come back as one of the above....OR....every time someone is reincarnated a new parallel timeline is created and the future hasn't happened yet. I don't know if that actually makes any sense!

I was more thinking the parallel universe theme, but I like your first option. Time and space is so infinite, I guess anything is possible.

The first option is a bit too fatalistic for my liking. It would be shame to think I have no control over my life whatsoever!

my subtle change would be to lose the first wife so she could always live where the grass is definitely greener and find my second wife a lot earlier and maybe it might be asking a bit much but a few inches added here and there would help as well

I think changes like "making a different split-second decision" or something like that
