As southern rail have already confirmed that there are no trains on boxing day, are we getting a pro-rata refund on the transport levy ?

No chance. Very much doubt the council will let this go ahead on boxing day without trains or extra busses organised. I expect it to be rearranged.

Is that a serious question? It's only a couple of £, if that. If the money goes back to the club so be it. I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it.

What an excellent use of resources that would be.
Allowing for cup games, it must be approx £1

Wonder how much it will cost, to organise an adjustment of 20,000 dd's plus arranging a refund for those who paid on card, and those who paid cash.

Personally I would prefer them spending it on hiring a few extra buses for the park and rides that day!

Dear Mr Pig,

We hope you are still happy. Please be assured that are working hard to return your £1 transport levy for this game. Please post your name, address, full bank details, your credit/debit card numbers and security codes. Also any passwords for any accounts would help.

Yours,

Transport Levy Refund Department

Lighten up chaps, it was a joke.

Boxing Day trains arent planned - id expect something to be sorted, probably a special timetable between Brighton and Lewes with a few extensions to/from Eastbourne and extra services between Brighton and London. Id expect the club to cough up and cover the cost though as there is no chance there wouldnt be trains for a match.

If there are no trains planned at the moment it should be easy to put on a special 1st stop London Bridge for Millwall fans. If that is possible why not one to Haywards Heath to meet a special to Littlehampton that would cover most of West Sussex. Only Eastbourne area to worry about then and everybody wlil be happy.

You're joking, there won't be any trains running to Falmer on Boxing Day let alone Eastbourne or anywhere else bar the planned Brighton to London trains.

Club willing to provide alternative transport to those who arent in the Brighton area and who cant drive to the Amex ? If there is no transport other than P&R and buses in the Brighton area - there will be a hell of a lot of empty seats as a lot simply cant get there !!! Id imagine Seagull Travel will add extra coaches on, but thats only good to a certain extent.

What happened to the story that BHA were going to pay for platform extension at Falmer and improved signalling is that still in the pipeline.

I think this was 'platform improvements' not extension, creating a new entrance, improving the fencing, removing any items of seating etc that are non essential and silghtly extending the platform but not long enough for more carriages. Its just so that technically the platform can fit more people on it which should improve the flow of people on to trains.

Will cost the club a fortune to cover the cost of extra buses as B&H only work to a limited schedule on Boxing Day and the drivers wages will need covering, can't understand how this was allowed by the fixture people ?
