Referees this season

We have been cheated all season by referees with no penalties, red cards etc and today summed up our season. We could have at least 6 points or more if our decisions went our way.

Next season we have to get rid of Barnes dicker and others and improve our team.

I'm sorry to say but Gus should have bit his lip early season when we were being done by the refs, and now they have closed ranks.

2 of the last 4 games we have had attacking corners when the ref blew final whistle, which never ever happens in footy, it says it all....

Rubbish. The decisions even themselves out in the end. For every perceived injustice against us, our opponents will doubtless find another that went in our favour.

Besides. They're exactly the same referees. So how do you figure that they're suddenly worse?

Yes, but tonight our player (Dicker??) was standing on the ball at the preceding free kick, pissing around when we all knew it was the last minute of added time. He was told to get on with it but he stood there moaning about Reading players being too close when he should have just wanged it into the box. It finally went out for a corner, which there was no time to take.

Entirely our fault, not the referee's. Why should he add on time that doesn't exist to allow a team to take a corner? You'd be pissed if he did against us...

Yeah was Dicker who took ages with the free-kick - but even so he gave a corner, which is an attacking move my a team and you can end the game before its taken - never seen it happen in any game before.

It does happen. It happened to us at Forest. Not that often, but it's perfectly legitimate. As I said, we'd be fuming of a ref added time on purely to allow opponents to take a corner and they then scored. We'd be demanding to know why he didn't stop the game when time was up.

It's annoying, but nonetheless correct.

The referee was shit, but he was shit both ways. I think Poyet's early reaction to him, turned the crowd on him far quicker than otherwise, and made it sem far worse than it was, but he made some shocking decisions both ways.

The only really bad one in the first half was CMS penatly, which was blantent.

When Greer got booked was another big one, but I think he got the free kick right. A bit OTT to book Greer.

But El-Abd was pushing his luck, and could easy have gone for going down like a sack of shit after he and whats his name up front had one of their moments, and in the first half where he and Roberts (remembered it now) waves arms at each other

ye but com on they were up to time wasting from minute one...he got conned plenty of times early on by reading players....and then seemed to want to b the star of the show...he was poor...not necessarily the reason why we lost ...but still inept

I know a Reading fan, who, after the game, said he couldn't believe that Roberts didn't walk for the push on El-Abd and was convinced they were going to end up with 10 men on the pitch. El-Abd stood his ground and didn't go down.

The ref was poor. He should have booked Barnes for his disco-dive in front of the East Stand second half. It was truly pathetic.
