i had one phone me yesturday. they've pulled my CV off jobsite, i tell them im not particulalry looking for work at the moment. still, in for a penny, she procedes to ask me questions anyway, like how long ive been at my current employer, what i do, have i any experience with XYZ... but she's got my CV right in front of her? wtf?

wastes of space. ive come to the conclusion they work to targets and have to phone up so many people and spend so much time on the phone to them. Woe betide you ask for details to be sent by email for consideration when you arent busy, presumbaly that cant be logged as easily so they wont.

I've had a couple of them phone me on my work number after I haven't returned their calls to my mobile.

I don't give them my work number, as I don't like talking to them while I'm at work. One of the the calls was transferred to me by my CFO, they told him they were "a friend", which I'm sure raised his suspicions!

The reason I didn't return their calls of my mobile in the first place is that I wasn't interested.

One thing that always amazes me is why the world needs so many agents! I work in IT and their seems to be more agencies than jobs going.
