Tommy Davies managed to break the land speed record from Land's End to John O'Groats by managing it in nine hours and 36 minutes, only hitting one red traffic light.

He journeyed through 15 police constabularies, went past 50 speed cameras, and spotted seven police cars on the 841-mile trip.

And he didn't get a single ticket, despite an average speed of almost 90mph.

There is some doubt that he even did it all

He must have exceptionally small gentleman parts.

How could you possibly come to that conclusion:-

He was on Radio 2 today likening his exploits to the cannonball run. Lots of people casting doubt on this alleged achievement.

Blimey, I can barely get out of Cornwall without needing to stop for a pee.

And WTF was his MAXIMUM speed?

Dickhead in Audi drives like a prick.
Who'd have thought?

Instinctively feels like bollocks. Averaging 90 is ridiculously difficult, even accounting for the time that they did it.

The land speed record is 763 mph. He managed to beat that while driving from Land's End to John O'Groats? Impressive.

Newmarket.
I bought some red tinted sunglasses from Churchill Square about ten years ago. I found out I'd made a mistake when I drove to the bottom of West St and realised I couldn't see the green light (or was it the red) on traffic lights. Maybe he'd been to Churchill Square ten years ago too.
