Hi all

Our fridge freezer has lost all power. I've tried changing the plug fuse and it's not that. Could anyone recommend a local engineer please (I'm in Hove).

Thanks

I can't recommend an engineer, but if you need an emergency replacement, I've got a fridge-freezer you can have for free.

It's an Indesit, just over 3 years old, in full working order. It's surplus to requirements, as we've just had our kitchen renovated.

We're in Brighton, near Varndean College. PM if you want more details.

I won't be offended if you say 'thanks, but no thanks'.

Wow, what an amazing offer, thank you. Wish I'd post a week ago before everything defrosted

We've already lost our frozen food and we've got a small backup fridge so it's probably not worth it now, but thank you very much for the offer.

Triggaar, the important thing is not to lose your cool. There's a solution to this.
That not a very n-ice thing to say.

Is it plugged into a single socket behind the appliance? If so it may be switched by a switched spur above the work top, this would also contain a fuse.
Check to see if something else works in the fridge/f socket.

@Triggaaar I’d recommend these. Unfortunately have to wait until Tuesday.

Sadly it’s not cost effective trying to repair domestic refrigeration save your money and put it towards a new one

Thanks. Yeah I tried that. It's not the socket, and I tried a a working fuse in the plug

They're over £1k, and if it's just a power transformer or something then I imagine it'll be better to fix.
