By way of stealing US's original idea & taking some of the negativity off of his thread, lets have your reason for wants to leave where your currently living.

For the record, the only 1 I can think of, for me is:-

1, It's not Dorset.

I am leaving my flat in Hamilton Road because;

1. The litter drives me f***ing mad
2. Too many "buy to lets" means the neighbours change frequently from one load of trash to another.
3. I'm actually bored of threatening to punch noisy neighbours.
4. I can't park in my own street & have to pay for that privelige!
5. I can get so much more for my money away from the town centre.
6. Tired of vandalism & graffiti.
7. Some mug is willing to pay me 3 times what I paid for it.
8. A recent spate of burglaries in the area don't leave me confident to leave my place when I'm away here with work.

& 9.....The Prestonville Arms is a hideout for elitist quizzers!!!!

We may leave in a few years and move the 200 odd yards to Hove.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
1) Council Tax up - Services poorer than before (Thank you, Labour)
2) Litter
3) Parking chaos
4) Dodgy folk hanging around the 'placement house/shelter'
5) The smell of Uncle Sam's almost 24/7 (Gets very boring)
6) Seagulls squawking at sundown on my window ledge
7) Incompetent Dustmen that put more rubbish on the streets than in the truck.

I'm leaving Exeter on Saturday because I'm graduating tomorrow. It's exciting, but at the same time quite sad.

Southwick
I would only leave Southwick to be nearer to Brighton, or for work, or to move in with the missus (who is from Haywards Heath)

I always fancied living six months in the sun and six months in BN1, renting out my bijoux residence to A Young Professional Couple for half a year at a time. Trouble is, the six months when I'd want to be away, September thru March, coincides neatly with the business chunk of the football season. A quandary, to be sure.
