The NSC Chumps League Sweepstake will be mine, fingers crossed

Arse played a very sensible game - but their players very-much need to get some teamwork back into their game, as they really don't know what each other are doing, and passes are going the wrong ways a lot.
Reyes was outstanding for them, but Hleb is a waste of space (and the main culprit for passes going awry).

Arsenal were superb, Madrid were piss poor. Should of been an easier victory for Arsenal, but I won't take nothing away from them it's an excellent result. First English team to beat Madrid at the Bernabeu aren't they?

Ronaldo was absolutely shocking, with displays like that it's no wonder the Madrid fans hate him!

Shame about Woodgate too, even though he probably won't make the World Cup squad it's nice to have another option just in case the likes of Ferdinand, King and Terry get injured.

Could have been more but for Casillas. Bens Grandad, are you still convinced that Dudek and Sorensen are better than him?

Hope not, I want Campbell there but not on current form, and the fact he's injured so he hasn't been playing recently :nono:

When he sorts his head out and gets back to his best then he should be selected.

Absoulety sensational tonight, where half the Madrid players drunk, coz there vision on the passes were horrific, and they were slow to react to any challenge being made on them. But Ciensco (Madrids right back) shold of been sent of for the fouls on Reyes, even though Reyes tends to make a meal out of it, Ciceno was blatenly blocking himoff the ball and sometimes not even getting a freekick for it. And when reyes went down and rolled back on, i was waitin for Lehman to run to the half way line to argue with the ref and then kick some1 on his way back.

Yes, because he puches the ball too much instead of catching it but that is a continental thing that would be sorted out if he came to this country.

True, the goalkeeping standard is very high in this country, look at all the decent keepers iEngland has produced. Rob Green would get in the top teams of Europe, as would the likes of David James and Russell Hoult.

You must be literally the only person in the world that thinks those two are better than Casillas, along with all the other people you suggested.

As is always said football is about opinions and it is upon those opinions that managers stand or fall.

As it happens I went to watch Real Madrid vs Sevilla in January and a group of about a dozen English men where in the bar after the game and our general opinion was that Real Madrid were great going forward but rubbish at defending and that Castillas was only good enough for a lower premiership club.

As I said it is about opinions.

How much crack had you all smoked? Seriously?

There are opinions and then there is just something like that, which is ridiculous. Do you know how many times he has saved them from a complete tonking? Do you know how highly rated the guy is by the real board and supporters? ??? He may not be better than Petr Cech, although I think he is, but a lower premiership team? He is the Spain number 1 ahead of Reina, Valdes and Canizares for fucks sake!

As I have said about opinions I certainly wouldn't put him above Reina.

Right ok, thats arguable. But you think he is only good enough for a LOWER premiership team? The guy would walk into most premiership teams, even the top 4 in my opinion. I can think of several people he is clearly better in the Premiership than off the top of my head especially in the bottom half and mid table.
