If you want a decent pub, I would suggest "The Old Nags Head" its down a back street just off Deansgate.

They do some cracking beer and also have a big pool room upstairs, its beaut of a pub that is in my opinion nicely hidden away!

PS after leaving The Nags Head, its just a simple two minute walk down to Gmex where you can then get the tram to Old Trafford Cricket Ground (2 stops) !

Manchester
 Great pub. But a bit far out of town, unless you're in manchester a few nights- then Chorlton's well worth a visit. A pub called Jackson's Boat on the Chorlton Mersey is well worth a visit too if you do make it down that way.

chorlton is full of whoppers like Hove&Albion F.C. sitting there trying to knit yoghurt.*

*only jokes chris. don't hit me with a loaf of organic polish bread or something.

Yeah i know, used to live in student house rusholme so i know manchester very well. A few of my old psycho mates moved to Chorlton just round the corner from the marble been up a few times visiting them. Even had the Polish sausage specials cooked outside the Polish Deli on sat morning all very Islington without the wealth !!
