Protesting about the owners apparently.

Bollocks to em, they spent years laughing at us and taking our best players. Hopefully they'll lose their stadium and end up ground sharing with Slough town. I'm enjoying every minute
Harsh. Yes, some Reading fans may have laughed at our predicament, but are you saying with certainty that no Reading fans were involved in Fans United? The owners buy players…

These are fans who are trying to save their club through direct action: we should have empathy with that imo.

Reading
I joined their protest march last year, their match against Portsmouth. I wore my Brighton shirt. So many of their fans came up to me to say thank you, they were all very knowledgable about our situation. Their pain, frustration and fear was very real, I remember feeling the same about us.

Good on them for invading the pitch, they love their club as much as we do ours. I am glad they are fighting to save it.

I desperately want them to sort it out, just so I can go back to laughing at them.

These are desperate times for Reading. A whole series of dubious owners and profligate spending has brought the club to its knees. Given our history I feel for those fans, this is an existential threat and, for me, football rivalry gets parked in these circumstances.

When clubs are at risk, all history is forgotten. It matters not who these football fans support. It matters only that they are football fans. If we'd been born somewhere else, we could be among them today. If some of our rivals hadn't been clear on this principle, then they wouldn't have been at Fans United and yes Reading were represented. I met them. This is about fans, not about clubs. There but for the grace of Knight & Bloom go us.

I guess that your post was in jest. Sorry, I've little sense of humour about this stuff and just find myself cringing that any Brighton fan could even pretend to have such a selective memory.

Poor attitude. “They”, if they really existed would have been a small minority and other than Sidwell (who wasn’t ours) which other players did they take? I dislike them as a club but we more than any know the pain of having your club driven into the ground. I actually have more respect for their support tonight than I probably ever have before. Getting games abandoned is how you really get people to take notice.

I’m not happy! I’ve been following football for like 3 decades and I never knew Reading had fans until today ☹️
