From the Spurs official site - rubbing it in just one more time
Glenn is convinced that new signing Bobby Zamora can transfer his goalscoring talent to the Premiership stage.
Bobby, a prolific marksman for former club Brighton, has already made something of an impact since becoming a Spurs player. He scored two on his pre-season debut at Oxford and followed that up with another strike at Norwich.
"We're buying potential here in what he's acheived already and what he can give us now," explained Glenn. "The timing was right. He was ready to move on after doing great service to Brighton and Brighton have looked after him well too.
"I'm sure he will do well for us. He has scored lots of goals outside the Premiership and I believe he's got a finisher's head on his shoulders and when you've got that - given the chances - you can take them at any level."
While reasoning that Bobby has some way to go before being the finished article, Glenn added that he expects his collective strikeforce to provide a good deal of excitement next season.
"We've got to work on him and he's got to improve to make the step up and make it a positive one. Robbie's got that raw talent as well, Helder Postiga, the three have pace, excitment, a bit of everything going for them.
"I think Bobby will improve in the air, he's got a great stride, covers the ground quickly and he's an intelligent player. I think we've bought well and shrewdly in the market as well.
"He has a very good goalscoring record as a youngster coming through and he's only 22 now. He has loads of potential and we are very excited about him. I think he can step up and score goals in the Premiership and what a lovely start for him at Oxford.
"It's an exciting time for him as well. He's a good player and with good players around him, I feel he will be able to step up into the Premiership and continue that record."
