After finding out that he has signed for Brentford, what reaction will he get when we play them at Griffin Park?

Definitely a bit of La La La Rougier.

Not the greatest of players but did bloody well for us and loved it down here and wanted to come back.

Yep.

Unless an ex-player does something to insult the club or fans, I believe that we shoud always welcome them. Even if they were only on loan.

Am I missing something here?

Rougier has signed for Brentford?

They are one of the lowest paying teams.

I thought we made Rougier an offer and he didn't accept it as the wage was too low.

We did and he didn't. Is there a conspiracy going on. Players being told to turn down Brighton and go anywhere but to us.

"Three former Brentford players, Jamie Fullarton, Scott Marshall and Leon Constantine are attempting to further their careers elsewhere.

Fullarton has doubled his Brentford wages by signing for Southend, where Constantine is on trial, while Marshall has joined Terry Butcher’s Motherwell on trial ."

" Training facilities at Brentford are nowhere near like the facilities at most Premiership clubs, and wages are invariably far more attractive at such clubs. "

"“Viney is negotiating a new contract with Pompey and a lot will depend on whether we can afford his wages.” Brentford are still pursuing their interest in two other strikers, with a Premiership and First Division club, but will not be signing Chesterfield forward David Reeves. Downes said: “Reeves contacted us, but I don’t think we could run to the cost of settling him in London.”"

Holdsworth, 34, has been released by Bolton after finishing last season on loan to Rushden and Diamonds. But he would need to take a big cut in wages if Brentford were to sign him.
