A friend of mine was in the players lounge for Saturdays game, Abdul was seriously pissed off that he wasn't in the team and left 20 minutes after kick off! This same friend was at his house later on that evening and he was aparently acting like a child in a strop. At the end of the day, there is a serious competition for places and with Vicente now seeming to get his fitness back, Razak has to up his game! This is a great thing for us!

Oh dear. You look a little bit silly now don't you.

Assulin made some very postive comments on Twitter about the team winning. Certainly no bitterness there

There is an element of truth in this story. When he heard he wasnt playing he did throw his toys out and asked a club official to get him a taxi, this was refused and the request reported to Charlie. No idea what happened after that.

That said the kid is 19 and comes from Man City, he is going to have a bit of an attitude and especially after his debut performance against Ipswich he probably thought he was going to breeze this league. His subsequent performances have been poor and rightly dropped, its now up to Poyet to man manage him.

Well he was happy enough at half time....

There is a modicum of truth to this.

Was talking to a mate last night, who's doing some work for late kick off south programme on the beeb atm. He was at the pompey game interviewing players, and when he heard he wasn't in the squad, Razak was annoyed. He phoned up Mancini to voice his frustrations. Mancini apparently told him to be patient, making the point about how good a squad we have here. At this point Razak accepted this and was okay about it.

How was your mate able to hear what Mancini had to say? Did Razak put him on speaker?

FWIW, I don't doubt for a second that Razak was pissed off, when hearing that he wasn't playing. Having been at Pompey earlier in the season, he was presumably pretty keen to be involved in this game. Its only right that the players left out should be pissed off anyway, and isn't a problem, so long as they channel that frustration in the right way - into a determined effort to win back ther place.

Let's not start a witch hunt of a 19 year kid, for pulling a sulky face, by making up stories about him storming out of the ground, when no such thing happened.

This is getting curiouser and curiouser.

- Told he's not playing so asks for a cab and Charlie gets called to tell him NO.
- Calls Mancini and has him on speaker so everyone can hear him
- Leaves the players lounge and walks snail like to the door only getting there just after half time

Sounds like there may be a grain of truth in this that has flourished into the biblical level flounce we were first told about

I am only repeating what my colleague said that is all. I have not bent the story what so ever, and maybe she knew of him asking for a cab and just assumed he had left. I do not come on here to shit stir or make up pointless shit, I was just saying what I had been told.

I expect that perhaps Gus thought he and Gai weren't pulling their weight in training and wanted to give them a kick up the ass by leaving them out of the squad. I think Gus left them out purely to get a reaction which will hopefully be a positive one. As has already been said it's only natural to be frustrated at getting dropped from the squad and it's now up to Gus to channel that frustration into top training and a top performance next time out.

I'm not entirely sure. All I know is my mate was doing a load of interviews with players pre match in the tunnel, razak rang mancini, whether razak told my mate what mancini said or if it was on speaker I don't know, however speaking to mancini apparently calmed him down. Whether there was more that went on after my mate had spoken to him I really don't know.

Sorry no disrespect to the OP, but this story sounds stupid and fake, I sure Razak is / was aware of the situation before hand and tbh Id rather have him rested against portsmouth as we have some very hard games coming up, so we dont want to use all our best players in easy games when they are not needed!

spoke too two mates today, when i told them this story ,they said bollocks, they were in the players lounge before and after, and even sat down and had food with them

Or he didn't think they were the right players for that particular game? We can't play EVERYONE.

I was upset to find both of the Man City players were not playing and that once again LuaLua was only on the bench, with Portsmouth in dire trouble i had been looking forward to us playing a really attacking line up.
The loan players are only with us for a limited time and have shown they are have class, lets get the most out of them or let them go another side who will give them the opportunities they came here for.

considering who replaced them in the squad and how the game turned out are you still 'upset' or do you think the manager might actually have a clue about what he's doing? ???

In fairness, I'd heard similar, AND that he was in trouble for partying late on saturday and making a racket in his digs.
