A friend of mine was in the players lounge for Saturdays game, Abdul was seriously pissed off that he wasn't in the team and left 20 minutes after kick off! This same friend was at his house later on that evening and he was aparently acting like a child in a strop. At the end of the day, there is a serious competition for places and with Vicente now seeming to get his fitness back, Razak has to up his game! This is a great thing for us!

MOD NOTE: This story is not true. See post #16 for further details.

If this is true (sorry, but it's NSC and you never know)....

Shame he's childish, but good that he wants to play

Is this true? Someone said the same about Assulin, despite him warming up ON the pitch, and being there at the end

100%, a colleague of mine is going out with a prem player's brother, who knew Razak from their earlier Palace days together, and he invited him down to the game with his mrs. Speaking to her this morning she didn't seem to impressed with his attitude. But like a few have said, he seems eager to play but is certainly not gaurenteed a place.

It's one thing wanting to play and being pissed off when not picked it's completely another if he feels he's got some god given right to a starting berth and sulks because he didn't get it.

I'm not sure which is correct but if the latter then that attitude could be disruptive to our progress - after all he is a loan so may not have the same hunger as our own players or those others on loan hoping for a perm contract - and he's not one of those I doubt

On the one hand its good to hear that a young player like Razak is hungry to play and disappointed when not picked. Especially if he has been loaned to the Albion to get match time but now can't get into the team or on the bench.

On the other he hasn't exactly had good role models to look up to at Man. City, so throwing a hissy fit is disappointing but maybe not exactly a surprise.

I hope he knuckles down and impresses Gus so he does feature in our squad, we may need him on the run into the play offs. If he does not knuckle down then maybe Gary Dicker will get a chance. Plus now Vicente is back in the frame that's potentially one less place available for Razak. Its a good test of his attitude.

Without wishing to fan the flames in the rumour mill etc, I saw him in West Reception before Pompey match and he looked like someone had just shat in his coco pops.

He's on loan, so if Gus thought he was disruptive he'd be gone, so no problem.

Sorry no disrespect to the OP, but this story sounds stupid and fake, I sure Razak is / was aware of the situation before hand and tbh Id rather have him rested against portsmouth as we have some very hard games coming up, so we dont want to use all our best players in easy games when they are not needed!

Probably all part of Gus's masterplan, he is a pro at man management. How many other managers could have got Vicente back in the running like he did?

Adkins would have got him back within a fortnight. That's physios for ya.

I can categorically say that it's not true. Me and my son had our photo taken with him at half time, just outside the players lounge, and he signed some autographs for us. He even signed my son's match attax card of Gus Poyet (no idea why - we didn't ask him to....).

He's clearly a very slow walker to leave the lounge after 20 mins and only just get to the door at half time. I say GET RID.
