Watford are the only club to have a 'Manager of the Season' award.

What a complete and utter shitshow of a club.

Totally deserve to go down.

Been a total 'quickfix' club for a long time and its getting them nowhere but a yoyo club.

In the last 8 seasons they've finished 11th, 13th and 14th in the Prem - so higher than we've managed - and they've had 2 promotions from the Championship too.

Yes, the manager position is a merry-go-round but in spite of that they've managed to get a lot right too, and they've stayed debt-free - the last Balance Sheet shows they're £9million in the black compared with our £189 million in the red.

Are they working on a vaccine?

As there is no known vaccine, I think we should have a former Watford Manager good news thread.

First comment could be along the lines of:

'Don't fret too much for them. If they are as astute as I think they are (the managers, not Watford FC), they will have negotiated a nice long notice period, together with a gold plated pension before they signed the contract. Each, new Watford manager contract of employment is likely to cost more than the previous one'.

Was hoping he’d last until after our game.

Now they have a week to sort a manager and buy some Prem quality players.

With their managers. Yes they look for instant and short term results. But the club is set up to recruit and buy players in a strategy set out by the board. The managers are Simply hired to get the best out of the players they provide.

Please dont let facts get in the way of my rant :moo:

(still think it is a shitshow of a club the way they conveyorbelt their managers)

Watford have a plan and any potential manager knows what they are getting into. If Premier League they have 10 games or so (Ranieri lasted much longer than they normally do) to win. And if they do win enough of those, any further ten game spell without success means the sack.

I’m hoping that after Feb the 13th they pick up as many points as they can, to send Newcastle down. Can they appoint Big Sam after we’ve played them

It's worked for a while - but can it keep on working? Not a club any decent manager on the way up will want to go to as no chance of getting time to develop a team and style of play

I was thinking of a tent - you pull open the flap to enter and close the flap when you leave.

I've just thrown up in my mouth a little bit. Christ, I bet it's like a punched lasagne.
