You are mixing cement with the sand, aren't you ?

Nnnnope
Just laying some extra slabs around the old shed at the back of the garden before the new one arrives. The old shed will then be moved and BURNED in readiness for the new one.

Not a good idea to slay slabs on just building sand. Rain will wash the sand away and the slabs will become uneven. Mix a bit of cement with the sand ( about 5 parts sand to 1 part cement )and the slabs will stay level much longer.

Its pretty flat at the back of my garden anyways, but I shall bear your sage advice in mind before completely ignoring it.

Funnilly enough, am also trying to erect a shed.

We have an area where a previous shed stood, on slabs, but those have now been used elsewhere so we hade the concrete/slab debate.

After a bit of a Harry Hill type discussion, concrete won. Is this the right choise? Today we were out clearing the area and did quite a good job, in the rain.

Last season I got to enjoy our game in a shirt and shorts. This season, perhaps not. The other main difference is that I spent £11 worth of credit during the match least season, this time I have a contract phone!

I see what you did there.
meh. The old shed has been there for 8 years with no concrete under the slabs. If this one lasts half as long I'll be happy enough.

I can assure you you wont be happy if you have to replace it again in just 4 years!
BTW Argos have their huge 6'x7' Apex metal shed down to £166.66 and their Pent metal sheds are 10'x4' £149.61, 8'x4'£132.14 and 6'x4 '£99.99.
