I just found out about this now as I got myself one of the cheap rail tickets back to London(£2), apparently I can't get a bus with that but they are running a Brighton to London train but it is going via Lewes!

Between :-

Haywards Heath + Brighton :censored:

Lewes + Seaford

Ford + Chichester / Bognor

Much as I generally support the investment in the rail infrastructure necessary to reverse years of Tory non-investment, that's just taking the piss.

Only way to approach Brighton by public transport without using the deeply shitty replacement bus services would appear to be from the South then - if the Newhaven Ferry can be persuaded to do a drop-off point between the piers.

Why can the railways never use their brains?
