As a tennis player, being soundly beaten he is fair game... he lost to the better player in a round by his own ranking should not have been in..

serious question, where is the evidence regarding this so called paraguay shirt?

Also there has been alot of racism on this board of late, from both sides of the wall, and if this is how we treat fellow Albion fans then i am sad to be one quite frankly.

we can discuss our countries failings, BOTH OF THEM, without having to resort to bringing race or creed into it..fire away call each other dickheads etc. BUT proceed any of those with English/Scottish/Irish or any country/race then that is racism. (I'll dig out the actual court hearing if u think I'm talking shite, football fan arrested for calling a hearts player an English Bastard) - country may be wrong but you get m point)

How would you like to loose NSC, not sure on the law but i'm sure whoever hosts this site would not like to know their bandwidth is being used for vile comments and race hate.

So Murray is a loser, I'd quite like to be that loser that just pocketed a grand slam quarter finalists pay cheque..

I've been on this board for about 10 years now, give or take, ever since the blue tesxt days under various names, I took hundreds of fans to away games when i ran coaches to away games off my own back and i'm getting pretty sick of some of the idiots on this board

NSC was originally designed to serve a purpose, save the albion and has done many times, REMF, Falmer to name but two..be sad to see it go..can we maybe try and keep it football and keep our countries /race/ creed out of...

And if the mods think this sort of behaviour is acceptable, maybe NSC should be closed down and you can maybe go to the pub and try calling people scottish/english tosspots and see where it gets you..

No more brits at wimbledon for another year, so i'll be back in the autumn to see that SCOTTISH TOSSPOT Virgo make his debut for The Albion

(can't be arsed sorting out the spelling btw)

here hare here
Young men do rash and stupid things thought don't they, I know I did, Harry thought it was a good idea to wear a SS uniform, he will gain sense as his talent develops but his rashness makes him the winner he is close to being.

outrageous comparison with Harry putting on the SS uniform aside...

why is Murray saying he wanted England to lose a 'rash and stupid thing'? he said it and he probably meant it. he's entitled to that point of view, as are the English people who choose to dislike him because of it.

calm down. there's no need to get so offended just because not everyone agrees with you.

f*** it i found teh comment myself:

Anti-English comment was "joke" gone wrong

I am Scottish. I am also British. I am not anti-English, I never was... what happened was a little joke that went wrong.

It was the time of the 2006 World Cup and England were due to play Paraguay. Tim Henman and I were being interviewed and before we started the journalist asked Tim about England's chances in the World Cup and asked me who I would be supporting.

He was making the point that Scotland weren't there. I got the joke. I laughed. We did the interview and the last question was: "Who will you be supporting?" Remembering our previous banter, I just said: "Whoever England are playing, ha ha." I had a smile on my face.

It was obvious I was joking. It wasn't reported like that. They made up stories about me buying a Paraguay shirt, the whole thing was absolute nonsense.

Stupid comment, and fair game to those offended as to why he won't support THEIR FOOTBALL team, but again why should anyone from another country support another country's team?

You will tend to find the truth and facts are not comfortable bedfellows on NSC.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
It wasn't a throwaway comment. Many, many Scottish people do not consider themselves British. It's not about being precious either, who says we have to like him? It's a matter of opinion whether you like him or not, you choose to so why have a go at others that think differently to you. You have your reasons to like him, and we have ours to dislike him.

Have a go? Pah! I was merely opposing those that seem to dislike him and the ideals behind their opinion. I was rounding on those (not necessarily on this board) that dislike him purely for 'Paraguaygate'.

Opinions, opinions, opinions. :bla: :bla: :bla: It would be a very dull place if we did not contest each others opinions. You should know that being of the female variety.

On the " do I give a shit rating o meter " it is hovering between 0.6 and 0.7.

The way England have been for the last 4 years I am close to supprting the opposition of any team England play. I have not feeling or pasion at all infact I hold them in contempt. Over paid, under talented tossers the lot of them except Beckham, Rooney, Gerrard.

:tosser:

You forgot to mention Hargreaves, who is actually shit but got a guaranteed free place for turning down the hun.

What a surprise. Murray loses to a better player and the morons of NSC come on to gloat because the only BRITISH player who got past Round 2 is out.

Personally, I am not sure which is more sad; that Murray is out or the pleasure these idiots get from it.

A group of sad men I am afraid whose greatest living achievement is managing to struggle out of bed every morning.

What are you on about - it's not sad to cheer on a very fair and sporting foreigner. Just because he completely owned and spanked like a naughty little girl, a Scotch pencil-neck with the pea-on-a-boomerang muscles.

All very sporting of us actually, to cheer for every foreigner who plays the plucky Britischer.

Oh, and Uncool Spielberg - do you ever stop being so freakin' RIGHTEOUS you sad GIT??

I couldn't care less if you support Nadal or not. What irritates me is that people come on here and gloat because the only BRITISH (and he is British whatever anyone says) player left is knocked out.

Alright - so when ENGERLAND are the only home nation to qualify for a World Cup Tournament, I TRUST all the fans of the other unlucky contestants from N.I., Wales and Jockland will be cheering for us as the only BRITISH players.

Otherwise they will be SAD and IRRITATING if they forget to cheer the plucky ENGERLISH Brits on to victory :clap2:
I'm sure you must all agree.

Are you acting stupid to wind me up? When England play in a major football championship, they are representing England while Scotland represent Scotland etc etc. Andy Murray is representing Great Britain (not Scotland). Understand the difference?

Anyway, I do support all the home nations and hope they qualify for major championships.
