That is so not-the-point that it's impossible to ignore. Racism is ignorant wherever the victim is from, and the idea that it's a British person getting abuse doesn't make it any more, or less, of a problem.

The point I was raising was supposed to be satirical in nature , that people assume that all black people are from another country just shows their ignorance. Racism and bigotry are issues passed from one generation to another and it often goes over their head to consider how it feels to be targetted for abuse.

It is a form of 'tribalism' that some will sink to - you'd think that football rivalry would be an excellent way of getting tribal feelings out of peoples' systems.

It bothers me that (some) humans desire variety in the rest of our world, while harbouring disdain for differences in colour in our own species!!
