Sorry if the following sounds like a public announcement but it kind of is. Someone asked me to copy and paste it from the Goatzone forum as there seem to be a few of you out there from Horsham and we wondered if snyone was interested.
Tonight, Horsham Independent Supporters Club will be running their first Race night in the Clubhouse. This is the latest in a series of events that have been and continue to be arranged for anyone interested in having an evening’s entertainment and enjoyment.
The event will be starting at 7pm with the first race commencing shortly afterwards.
The evening will comprise 6 races in total, each with 8 horses participating and they will be a mixture of UK and US Jump, Flat and Harness races. The order will be random, with each race being selected by a member of the audience and then will be projected onto the big screen for everyone to see. Commentary is by Derek Thompson, one of Britain’s top racing commentators.
Everyone will be supplied with a race card from which to select there chosen horse or horses for each race. Betting will be taking place on each race with a Tote in use where you can pick and bet on your winner! Payout on the winner will be immediately after each race and is dependant on how much is placed on the winner.
The bar will be open all evening and there will be ample time in between each race to fill your glasses and bet on the next race.
Entry to what promises to be a great evenings entertainment is only £2 and tickets are available in advance.
So spread the word and come and join us. Remember we are under starters orders from 7pm
