Only known Chelsea to be on the receiving end of this particular chant
Really?

The late Sarah Watts used to note homophobic or chants, the time they happened during the game, and place. After each away game, she emailed them to the FA.
It was often chanted at Brighton fans.

Homophobic chants? Yes we’ve got more than our fair share aimed at us.

Rent Boys? I’ve never heard that chanted at us.

Perhaps, but my point has always been that if folk can't go to a football match without making derogatory chants the problem is with them. Most folk can go, get behind the team, and enjoy the match without it.

They managed it for decades before, so what is the problem ? Are folk's lives made so much less by not being allowed to use sexist and homophobic chants ? Who are the real 'snowflakes' here ?

Maybe not, but it's surprising that it's been singled out.
Has it been singled out? Or they are just making clear that (along with half a dozen other chants that are more obviously so) it IS unacceptabl, should there be any doubt.

it has come up because a Chelsea fan group recently made a complaint about it.

What's life if you can't casually insult and denigrate an entire demographic. Countries gone to the dogs I tell ya. They'll be banning large scale acts of violence between rival fans next. Gone to the dogs, right to the dogs.

I have, which is why I said it was included in the reports.

As for the snowflakes comment, elsewhere, football is a family game, and kids should not hear discriminatory chants.

Going back to Withdean days, a father was abused by away fans when taking his young son into the gents toilet. Things have got a bit better since then.

I was just reading more - apparently it's due to the recent conviction of a Liverpool fan who admitted using the term on his way to last season's FA Cup final against Chelsea.

It's also often aimed at Frank Lampard.

Can’t say have ever heard. Probably means “he’s bald, he’s bent, his arse is up for rent, David Armstrong, David Armstrong…” is no longer acceptable. Not least because he’s sadly no longer with us! (Terrific footballer, single handily knocked us out the cup in ‘85. Rip, gone but not forgotten as they say)

The dull part of the south coast
Why would any normal person think it's OK to chant or use discriminatory language in any setting?

Do these people think it makes them look big and brave and clever?

It's pathetic!
In answer your first question : change normal to abnormal, then it’s yes.

Your second question : Yes

It’s pathetic : Yes

There’s a video on YouTube of one of our lot at OT singing Mason Greenward’s a sex offender. Stupid thing to do, not least because he’s not.
