I've been advised to sign up for Quidco to get cashback on a transaction I want to make. The cost is £60 and the Quidco website says I will earn £45 cashback!

Really? Will I really only end up spending £15 instead of £60?

All sounds a bit too good to be true........has anyone used it and it is as good as it sounds? Any negative points to be aware of? Will I actually see the £45?

Yep, Quidco take £5 per year off your earnings but that's it.

Essentially, Quidco earn the cash that other sites get for you using ad links, but pay it back to the customers themselves.

I earned £20 last year on stuff I would have bought anyway, so free money. I use it for anything online that offers it (when I remember...)

But yeah, your deal sounds especially good - sounds like a phone offer?

Oh, by the way the cash does take a couple of months to validate so it'll take a while... I get my earnings paid straight in to my paypal a/c to buy crap on ebay with.

You can often get various phone deals whereby you pay £30 a month for 12 months and you get cashback (like the carphone warehouse do etc.) every 3 months of £30. So the phone contract is costing you essentially nothing PLUS you can get anything upto £80 for a contract like this. So in essence you are getting a £30 phone contract for -£80.
Quidco are completely safe and have been using them for nearly 2 years (earning over £200 on purchases that I would have made otherwise). Sometimes the cashback may not track but if it doesn't you can enquire it and 99% of the time they get the cashback for you.

It's Match.com Quidco - Match.com Says £45 for a 6 month sub

and from the Match.com site:

"£10.88 /month
6 months
billed in one easy payment of £65.25"

I was £5 out but it's still only £20 instead of £65!
