Swindon, but used to be Manila
My mum (aged 82) has just broken her leg, I am currently off work for a few days looking after her and getting a few things sorted,
I was wondering if anyone knows a charity in Hove/Portslade that will lend her a wheelchair for a few weeks,

I also need to try and get hold of a portable toilet, we only have a toilet on the second floor and she is dragging herself up and down stairs on her bum, which is not ideal....

The district nurses have said we can borrow but probably not until next week as it takes 'time' to process.

Any help / advice gratefully accepted

Thanks

There is a mobility shop opposite Aldi in Portslade (I think its there) - my mother in law needed to 'borrow' a wheelchair. I think they charged £20 - may have been just a deposit. Ill have a look and see if I can find the name of the place.

I think you can get camping toilets in most outdoor shops, either that or ask if you can borrow a commode from the hospital!
