Classic tonight, Ian Hislop has totally trumped Harriet Harman with Labour and sucking up to the city.

Harman also OWNED Alan Duncan when she quoted from the HOC over the Conservatives actually advocating LESS regulation on mortgage lenders last year.

Duncan talks a good game, but the Tories are just as untrustworthy as the current mob, and I'd have very little faith in Cameron running his own bath, let alone the country.

Hislop was razor sharp - probably his best QT appearance.

Harman looked like she was just tired out by the whole business of government and ready for a lie-down. Duncan was pretty unimpressive, for someone who should have had several open goals to aim at.

The spod from Next was actually quite articulate and made some good contributions.

All in all - one of the best editions I can remember for some years.

Give Cameron a chance Easy, he can't f*** it up more than Labour have. Hislop's comment about the first attractive person in politics for some time was great.

Exactly. I knew this would be about some pathetic attempt to put down a Labour MP as soon as I opened it - what with Beach Hut's daft blue rinse tory views.

But this really is telling. Would the Tories have done any better/different? The answer is no. Same as Blair's f*** up in Iraq? Would the Tories have stood up to Bush. Erm, no. Of course not.

And that really is the issue here - the likes of Beach Hut and Garth need to realise that the ONLY reason the Tories are so far out in front is because everyone is sick of Gonad Brown. If he was to go tomorrow and be replaced with someone with some BALLS, the gap in the polls would shrink to single digits in a matter of months.

He OWNED Dimbleby over government guarantees for deposits and creating panic. Dimbleby is an intellectual light-weight that should stick to selecting who is going to answer.
Spot on. I really dislike Dimbleby - sadly he's part of the establishment and one that needs to be removed. He's not fit to tie Sir Robin Day's shoes.

Harperson is pure slime who advocates racist selection policies and is a dangerous woman full of hate. As for her idiot British hating husband I hope they are tired out due to the constant stream of protesters on her roof keeping her up.

Harman has risen as far as she can go with her limited talent, so I expect her to remain loyal to Gordon Brown for promoting her 'til the bitter end.

Dimbleby should have known better than to ask her if she would stand for PM if asked to - of course she would, all politicians want the top job but no one in the position she was in would openly admit it.

Alan Duncan same across as smarm personified. It's all too evident that the Tories scent Labour blood and too often the debate degenerated into party tit for tat rhetoric and bollocks.

Hislop was good, the Lib Dem women was quite good as well.

Scent Labour blood ? it is beyond that. They are simply waiting to gorge on the carcas. The country wants a change and GB is the unfortunate stooge to be in charge when it happens - with the additional bad luck that the world economy is going tits up.

It is clear from the audience's reaction to Cameron's name being mentioned that he is not particualrly popular. Tolerable maybe, but certainly not an inspirational figure like Kennedy, the '64 Wilson or the '97 Blair.

I thought Duncan was awful but rumour is he is on his way out soon. Harperson was her usual hectoring nasty self. Thought the lib dem womans voice really grated but gave a good account of hereself. Quite milfy too

I share office space with my local Tory MP's agent, and he is bending over backwards not to appear complacent or smarmy about the polls.

I teased him about the upcoming party conference turning into another Sheffield rally and it's clear from his reaction the party has issued a directive from the top down NOT to demonstrate ANY triumphalism.

Harman is not what I'd call a "sexually-charged" woman. Blears would be interesting.

i get the feeling its the frigidity and the militant feminism that gives her the 'challenge' appeal. Blears you know a couple of WKD blues and you would be in a cab with her.
