Umleitung = Picture.

Gerdundala = matchstick men.

unless I am very much mistaken.

You are, I fear. Umleitung is German for "diversion".

No idea what Gerdundala is though.

I believe I have Gerundula as the B side on my Pictures of Matchstick men single, but don't have the album.

I think I played said B side once and thought it was gash.

Mystery Song is by far and away Quo's best song FACT

The 10 minute version, not the single.

Quo rock. A DJ at the youth club I went to as a young lad used to play Gerundula all the time, great track. Best Quo track? Don't Waste my Time or Forty Five Hundred Times. Roadhouse Blues is always the highlight of a Quo concert.

Jeff Rich is a local boy.

I fingered his daughter a few weeks back.

That is all

Not unless it's a re-issue thingy. 'Gentleman Joe's Sidewalk Cafe' is the flip of 'Pics of MM'. 'Gerdundula' is the flip of 'In My Chair', and later issued as the 'A' with 'Lakky Lady' on the reverse.

They covered a BeeGees single on the first LP, 'Spicks and Specks', which is excellent imho. What a shame they became a shit boogie-band, churning out repetitive 'dun-duh-dun-duh dun duh dun duh' rubbish with those monotoned vocal 'harmonies'. They started out with promise.

Anyone got the 'Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon' album ? I would like to know if that one's any good.

Piledriver was the first ever album I bought - think it cost me £2.19 from Grays Record shop in East Grinstead.

Stuff like 'Big fat mama' and 'Paper plane' were awesome, not to mention the excellent blues 'unspoken words.'

Heady days.

Snap! Most of my old vinyl came from Grays in EG, spent a bleeding fortune in there over the years.

I'll have to check when my singles come out of storage, then. It could be that it was a re-issue thingy as I got it a long time after it was originally released.

My favorite Quo track is Backwater from the "Quo" album. They often used to open their set with it.

I have "Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon" on tape, but haven't listened to it for years. From memory, I think it was fairly mediocre, to be honest.
