All I saw on a previous thread was £7.1 million for the champions.

The playoff finalists share the Wembley gate receipts which then usually get given to the loser.
Yep, that figure is based on tv money over the season, merchandise etc. at Newcastle this season.

It was a football league world article from a few days ago which quoted the figure as " prize money " but it now transpires that it may not have been accurate.
