80s bands WERE the best. They stood the test of time. Look at the artists who performed on the original Band Aid single......Boy George, Status Quo, Duran Duran, Greorge Michael, U2, Paul Young, Paul Weller, Sting and many of the others are still performing today. I wonder how many of the singers on the current recording will be around and playing to large audiences in 20 years time...................errrrrm Busted????

They were huge in the 80s and my point was that bands from that era (even though as you say they started in the 60s) were great artists who were head and shoulders above most of the acts today.
