Your owner is someone who seemingly has no previous links and is not the richest owner around. His long term motives must be questionable.

He invested when we were bottom of divvy 1 and properly shite, has a house here since year dot, has announced new stadium plans and has purchased the site for the academy. I'm struggling to see why you think that's questionable.....

I thought the stadium and training facilities belong to a separate company and the club has a rental cost in their P&L

True.

The Community Stadium Ltd suffers depreciation charges on buildings and leasehold land. Passing on rent to the trading football club ltd company. The FL audit the rent figure, under FFP, to check its at fair value, because both limited companies are obviously are related parties to each other.

Either way, a cost hits the football club accounts.

Since year dot? According to Sky Sports, he bought the house in Sandbanks two years after investing in the club in 2011. Has a second home in Weybridge and spends most of his time in Switzerland! Prior to that he seems to have bought and estate in the area in 2008. Not sure based on that you can seek to imply he's a lifelong Cherries fan!

Not trying to win brownie points but if it was between Bournemouth and Brighton for the last relegation spot - I'd prefer the Seagulls to stay up (at least Chris Hughton seems an honourable man).

Is that a joke? Even if a club looked nailed on for promotion, pre-selling tickets wouldn't help with FFP, those ticket sales would have to show in the year they applied to, not when they were sold.
It's actually even more sad than "pre selling tickets". It's pre selling the possibility of tickets......

As mentioned, FFP has caught up with them big time.

I predicted this last season but Wednesday [emoji23] fans didn't want to hear about it at the time (most I spoke to had no concept of FFP then, they do now).

Shit or bust for a couple of them. They are splashing their three year allowance in one year and will come unstuck if they don’t go up. Sheff Wed [emoji16] are already up against FFP and desperately trying to raise money by preselling their Premier League season tickets.

Villa still have parachute payments and get big crowds.

Not looking likely atm with Carlos at the helm.

Crikey, circa £2k for a plaque, plus the 3 year s/t (which would normally be at cheaper northern tickets price levels and to watch mid table Championship football),

Desparate.

I wonder how many mugs have bought one?

Not looking likely atm with Carlos at the helm.

And not looking likely that he'll be sacked any time soon according to the natives.

Interestingly, they had a fan's meeting with the chairman the other day and the "buy a crappy plaque for two grand" plan already seems to have fallen on it's arse (unsurprisingly).

DC wishes to apologise to fans who cannot afford a ST or a match day ticket but he says needs must with regards to
generating revenues to help contribute towards keeping within the FFP rules he believes in his pricing policy and
confirmed that if we want to continue attracting better players and not go backwards he has to raise as much as he
can in areas of tickets sales and the retail his idea regarding 1867 Membership has not taken off so he is looking
for other ways of generating income he hasn’t ruled out naming rights for the stadium

There are also rumours that he might not be quite as rich as he's previously made out (but this may just be on the back of them trying to get their heads round FFP).

Interesting theory to raise money, if somewhat unlikely - say 7500 fans invest (punt ?) then that could be around £11m return.. can buy another striker for that.. (or just sell one you dont use maybe..?)

I'm just staggered that another club that Harry Redknapp has managed has found itself in a position where expenditure grossly exceeded income. I don't think anybody could have seen that coming.

Just imagine if he had a team called the 'Harry Redknapp allstars 11' competing in the PL.
It'll be taxtastic:)

Hmmm, who'd be in it?

Niko Kranjčar obviously (£90k/wk)
Christopher Samba (£100k)
Kanu (£85k)
Obafemi Martins (£75k)
Jermain Defoe (£200k)
Peter Crouch (£99k)

Any more for the XI?

Now we've brought the ultimate wheeler dealer into this conversation: this is funny :lolol:

http://www.espn.co.uk/football/quee...efends-qpr-after-multi-million-pound-ffp-fine

A few highlights from the above article...

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has told ESPN FC he believes football's authorities have decided to "pick on QPR" after the London club was handed a multi-million pound fine for breaching financial fair play (FFP) rules.

When Redknapp was told of the ruling by ESPN FC, he said: "This is crazy," and said he was "shocked and devastated." Redknapp added: "Why they would pick on QPR, of all the clubs, that have overstepped the rules, I just find that amazing."

He said: "I didn't sign [those] players. Julio Cesar and others were all there when I arrived at the club.

"The team I got promoted with, people like Bobby Zamora, Joey Barton, [Armand] Traore, Clint Hill, Rob Green in goal, Nedham Onuoha, they were there already. They weren't players that I brought in. They got promoted with a team of players that were already there. It was only one or two signings [that I made]. When we got back to the Premier League, we took loans. We certainly didn't overspend for a Premier League club. Definitely not.

"I don't want to criticise anyone who bought Julio Cesar and others. That's not fair. What I had to do was to try and get them off the wage bill. It was a cutting-back process when I was there and taking people on free transfers and, in lots of cases, having to pay a percentage of their wages to get them off the wage bill."

So, about those "one or two players", Harry ???
