A bad day at the office for Rangers as we suffer defeat after being a goal up, have one player sent off and two end up in hospital

Ian Holloway was disappointed at the 2-1 defeat on the south coast. Holloway thought the contest had been tight battle until ill-discipline cost his side.

"There were two very good sides out there tonight, unfortunately we shot ourselves in the foot."

Terell Forbes lashed out at Brighton defender Kerry Mayo after a bad challenge and was sent from the field. Mayo received a yellow for the initial challenge.

Holloway commented of Brighton's composure when given the advantage "I think thats the standard - they moved the ball better than most second division sides. What we have to do is bounce back. Everybody loses, it's what you do after which counts. Terell Forbes is a good lad and that was out of character."

Clarke Carlisle was also injured in a heavy clash with the Albion goalkeeper, Ben Roberts, in injury time. He has been taken to hospital, as a precaution, with a blow to the kidneys. Terell Forbes joined him at the hospital and will require stitches from a cut to his shin obtained in the challenge just prior to his red card.
