3000 for a pre season friendly is pretty impressive. This is genuinely the first time I’ve had to buy a ticket for one, I usually just rock up and pay on the gate!

I think Reading away was a similar scenario a couple of seasons ago. We outnumbered the home fans to a ratio of about 10:1

Was the allocation 3k, I'm not sure the stand is quite that big, Google suggests about 2.5k. That's still good going for a friendly.

The only thing i am not sure about is whether the club released all the seats in the upper in the first instance as i seem to remember from the last time that some of them were very restricted view so they may have held back say a couple of hundred.
Still pretty good though even if that is the case.

I owe you an apology as it appears the club did indeed hold back the restricted view seats in the upper tier but not as i surmised a couple of hundred but actually 400!!
