The Golden Arrow Bluebell Railway dining is pricey, but worth it if you can afford it for a very special occasion. Have twice combined it with a murder mystery which added to the cost, but made the two evenings more memorable. The following links are worth looking at:

Only a limited number of journeys were free (I seem to remember being allowed seven a year) - you had to pay for the rest, admittedly at very reduced rates though.

Thanks for the heads up Jim. It's great to read the Brighton Belle will be up and running soon. The old girl travelled on the Brighton Belle a few times when it was in service, so I might surprise her with a trip.
