As someone who was a landlord, the reason you don't get many pool tables these days is because they can sometimes attract the "wrong" type of customer. They are often a hotspot for trouble and most places in town are going for the more trendy, laid back, low lighting, olive eating type of crowd. These people are put off places with pool tables and loud young lads who support football teams and have tattoos.

Was literally racking my brain thinking about this when I was meeting a mate for drinks, only based on the knowledge he was playing pool. Couldn't think of any at all.

Turned out he was at the Castle Street Snooker Club. Not a pub at all.

The Mitre has a nice dartboard setup. Well kept Harvey's selection (Best/Mild/Old) and retro prices- popped in there last night- 2 pints- £5.90.

Was thinking of posting a thread where are there dart boards still in Brighton/Hove?

So where are they????

The Bevy have just installed a dart board based on customer demand. There was talk of a pool table however it would take space from the dining area and limit covers they could offer.

West Hill has a pool table.

Used to go there when it was the BV many moons ago. Is it pool or bar billiards?
If the latter I may need to pop in again. Strangely addictive that game.
