Planning a few early beers in the London Bridge area tomorrow before heading on to Spurs. Can anyone recommend any good pubs that will be showing the 12.30 game ?

George Inn down one of the side alleys off Borough High Street - last remaining galleried coaching inn in London, dating back to C17. Used to be loads of them in the area to park up the coaches on the south side of the river before crossing into the City.

Now Greene King owned, but a cool bit of historical architecture none the less.

The Mudlark, Montague Close - about five minute walk from LB station and next to Southwark Cathedral. Not sure about TV stuff though, you could try the Barrowboy and Banker which is at the end of London Bridge itself opposite the station.

The Shipwrights Arms was the pub we used when we beat Arsenal 2-1 the season before last. We were getting some very strange looks from a few of the tough looking hombres in there. It was only when we left that I found out they were all Millwall fans, they were playing at home that day, and South Bermondsey is just one stop down from London Bridge. I survived to tell the tale!

It's tucked out of the way, so popular with locals and is just a solid, unpretentious PUB with decent food.

Bonus is Millwall playing on the Sunday so Old Kings Head should be lighter than usual, it has the biggest screens of any of these pubs mentioned (many of which have no TVs at all)

It's actually National Trust owned, but licensed to Greene King.

The architecture is quite unique and wonderful and well worth a visit, with or without considering whether they show the football. And, if memory serves, all the bars there are cramped and narrow, so - unless they've rigged up big screens in the courtyard - doesn't really make for optimal football viewing

True, I didn't read the question properly and was just suggesting a pub worth visiting, not one for watching the football!

Maybe I preferred to ask this question to get recommendations from fellow Albion fans that have drunk in the area and may be heading there tomorrow - information a search engine can’t provide

No TVs but the Market Porter is fantastic if you're an ale drinker and the Royal Oak a bit further away but a Harvey's pub.
