Try Brio next to Shoreham railway station. Italian food very good when I've been there.
Thank you to everyone for responding - despite me cocking up the thread title!
I think I'll park up and have a look at Suters Yard, The Bridge or The Sovereign.
Shoreham has certainly changed since I was living there in the 80s. I would have been hard pressed to come up with any meaningful suggestions in those days.

Gutted. Its a sad, sad, sad day on NSC. I thought it was your PMT avatar, you know, you have it up for 5-7 days so the boys know not to mess with you. ; )

Amsterdam is reasonable.
You are joking Shirley? Always been awful, never go again.
Try Tosca's in the High Street, always been good.

I've been to brio a couple of times - always been ok - never tried toscas though - but will now!!!

Yeah you had to change it though cos I am Luddite where technology is concerned x
Brio is delicious, last time I went to tosca it was microwave bollocks
I've just been reading about the Sov on Trip Advisor. It was a quiet traditional pub last time I went there decades ago! Do they do Thai every night?
Yes it's every night. Still a traditional pub but Mark the landlord met a young lady friend on a holiday to Thailand a while back, and she now works in the kitchen.
TOP grub and an absolute steal at 6-7 quid per dish. Make sure you book.
As mentioned elsewhere the Bridge is good (especially if you like fish) and the tapas in Suters Yard is quality.
Thanks mate.
As stated above we went to The Bridge and had a great meal - really impressed and definitely a couple of notches up from normal pub grub. I also really like the way they've created two very different ambiences in the same pub - sports bar and casual dining.
I must try the Sovereign next time I'm down - sounds excellent and I love Thai food.
The biggest headache was parking! I got lured into Ropetackle, following Parking signs which turned out to be some form of practical joke. I followed the signs all the way through the complex until I reached a dead end by the railway arches and had to turn round and come out again.
