Another football banning order from court you might be interested in - also caught on camera

Just a quick note to say that I saw there was a bit of confusion about which outlet I work for, so I've changed my very out of date bio. And any and all typos are mine - we're a shoestring operation, definitely can't afford proof-readers . . . If you find the odd mis-spelt word triggering, feel free not to click :)

Having watched the video, can't really buy the self defence argument. The first one or two are certainly, but he then remains in place and throws punches of his own. Obviously understandable in the moment, but he's no longer defending himself when throwing punches from the Brighton side of the segregation

From what I recall of the incident from my viewpoint above, was that there was no need for the guy to get involved at all. It looked pretty embarrassing from my viewpoint. it wasn't helped by the lack of steward or police intervention at the start of the charges but everyone else seemed capable of staying out of it.

This. Was watching all of it from the front row of the upper tier. Video just again confirms we’ve got our fair share of tools who should be ashamed of themselves.

From our vantage point from above he didn’t look like he was trying to help anyone, just gesticulating and going in fighting.

I was wondering when exactly he crossed into the home end and and helped someone rather than just stepping across two clear columns of segregation and between stewards to repeatedly throw punches at home fans

Well that was a bit of something and nothing, perhaps he was arguing about a dodgy kebab he had served him the night before? Seems fair enough.

Seriously?

What an embarrassing bunch of old men we have “following” the Albion.
People keep saying this. But I'd say we probably have one of the most mild-mannered support bases in the country.
