Well done City.
They were a credit to all football teams outside the elite Premiership.
They, and Yeading before them, have shown that the gulf between the so called elite and the rest isn't so big.
I am personally sick of the money and pomp attributed to the premiership, fuelled by the media and tv.
Give me a championship match to watch anyday. Carlisle versus Barnet? definately. Boston versus Hull? For sure.
Tonight prooved that there is life outside the top division. I am thrilled that Exeter have virtually paid off their debts and can now start competing again.
All that so called talent and Fergie can only point to 2 goals in 180 minutes against a side not even certain of getting out of the Conference.
Love you Grecians.

I thought they played superbly, I jumped around like I only have for our goals before when they 'scored', as did the entire bar:clap2:

Im not proud of them in the slightest.

They played well yes but being a Brighton fan I have no place being proud their performance.

Bloody hell Richie your knickers do appear to be in a twist today. I'm proud of them for two reasons; one I am at uni in Exeter, and two they showed as BatterSeagull pointed out that the gap between the haves and the have-nots in football is not as great as many think, and that the Premiership is an overrated league with far too much money blindly thrown at it.

I do see where Richie is coming from. I wouldn't say I'm proud of them. Their supporters should be though. It's nice to see a non-league side compete with players who starred in Euro 2004. Hopefully it'll show the arm chair fans the gap isn't as big as they'd like to think. I doubt they'll believe it though.
