Why on earth do we need proof? I don't need proof that drinking bleach would be bad and I don't need proof that Naylor is an idiot. Actually reading Naylor and drinking bleach probably have the same effect; vomiting, loss of bowls, headaches and possibly death!

Andy Naylor could have been picking up news snippets from other sources as West Ham and QPR were favourites at midday , not knowing that CMS was in Sussex at the time

Andy Naylor does a decent enough job – problem for most local sports journos is the good stuff they do goes unremarked on, and they get crucified from the likes of NSC if they get something wrong. Suspect this transfer just moved a bit too fast, or maybe the club was keeping schtum until everything was signed and sealed.

The guy got back from holiday, he was hardly clued up. When I get back from holiday I don't know my ass from my elbow of whats going on at home. If someone had told him that, so what. He chose to share it and part of it was right, part of it was wrong. He also later in the day got it right but people seem to have missed that.

The big selling point of the Argus is reports on the Albion,they know this that's why they have little snippets kept back so they can post on the Albion every day.Do ever see the Argus with no memtion of Albion...C'mom you did'nt expect the Argus to be doing that today...did you?
If anyone remembers I got shot down by Naylor in January in his Q&A for suggesting CMS as a possible target and told not to believe anything on NSC. What a dick.
It's pretty hard to defend his efforts yesterday:

Indeed. And what's even funnier about that now is yesterday's revelation that we tried to get CMS in the January transfer window but Posh rejected us.

Irrespective of his holiday, he should have kept his 'mouth' shut on twitter yesterday. Come out and saying the he was going to QPR or West Ham (plus the old news about KLL's failed medical) was foolish at best. If he wasn't up to speed he risked (and achieved) making himself look a bit of a lemon; as many of us pointed out to him on twitter as well 
This is what Naylor said to me in Jan when I suggested CMS.
"A lot of what you read on NSC is tosh. You do wonder sometimes what planet people are on when you see some of the names mentioned and people claiming to be 'in the know'. NSC has its place as good knockabout fun for fans but, if you want authentic info, I think The Argus is your best bet."

I will often put the boot in on Naylor, but in fairness over transfers, Tony and Gus do appear to want to keep "rumours" to a minimum with transfers. Generally, we only hear about moves before they happen if the other club leaks it. We seem to have a tight reign on this, and that includes our players on twitter / facebook, and it would be logical if that extended to the local press. As a local journo, he has to build a close relationship with the club, not announce to us every last snippet of gossip he gets to hear.
