A football programme and memorabilia fair will assist in the quest for a new museum.

Brighton & Hove Albion Collectors' and Historians' Society will be raising funds this Sunday towards its ambition of a club museum at the Albion's new Community Stadium at Falmer.

The Society will be just one of the stallholders at the annual Sussex Coast Football Memorabilia and Programme Fair, being staged in the pavilion at the Sussex County Cricket Ground, Eaton Road, Hove. The fair is open from 11am until 2pm. Admission is 50p and light refreshments will be available.

Stallholders will be selling programmes from many clubs as well as the Albion, and visitors are almost certain to pick up a bargain or two to help with their collections.

Tim Carder, chairman of the Society, commented, "Our aim is to promote and preserve the history of the Albion, and these events help by raising funds towards that aim.

"We are always grateful for donations of Albion memorabilia. Anything we don't have already we will add to our archives, but we can sell on any spare material to supporters to add to their own collections."
