At what match do people think we will gain promotion?

Walsall is a little bit hopeful given that we need to win 5 and draw 1 to get that. I think it'll be Colchester live on the tele. I think we'll draw a few away from home and clinch promo and the title on the same night in front of the Sky cameras :falmer:

Biggest anticlimax ever, a day when we are not playing

Friday, 22 April 2011
Npower League One
MK Dons v Huddersfield, 15:00
Leyton Orient v Peterborough, 15:00

The last time we won this League, our promotion was assured when we wern't playing. I think it was when we won at Peterboro on the Saturday (OGH broken leg), with Reading playing the following day on the Sunday. Pardews gimps failed to win their game at Tranny, and as a result we were officially UP.

Really hope it doesn't come about like that this time, would much prefer it to be off the back of a win on the day.

Im am hoping the same, would be such an anti climax.

If things went quite bad for us, the same could happen on 2nd May. We arw playing Saturday before, but not Monday

I reckon we'll need either a draw (with superior GD) or a win at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

We will then draw it, leaving us the not entirely satisfactory situation of needing 1 point more to be certain but with a massively superior GD meaning that we had already 99.99999999% done it.

With the odd helpful result it could be as early as Rochdale (a) but Dagenham at home could well seal the deal with Walsall possibly providing an opportunity to take the title.

I've given up trying to predict this now as the permutations are doing my head in, but I am no longer afraid to confidently state that we are going up and will in all likelihood take the title.

As it currently stands..the target is 93 points, the maximum Peterborough can acheive.

Southampton can still get 95 points, Peterborough 92, Huddersfield 91, MK Dongs 88 and Bournemouth 88.

Therefore, if PUFC claim maxiumum points for every single game, we need 16 points from the remaining 10 games to be mathematically sure.

I THINK that is all right..please correct me if I am wrong!

Correct 16 for promotion, 19 for Title.

3 wins will do it unless the points replicate the seasons 00/01 and 08/09 where 87 and 88 points were needed. 88 points is the most needed in the last 10 years to gain promotion and 77 (what we have now) the least. 84 points being the average.

Apparently.
