Or, completely mishandle how to deal with a deadly virus sweeping around the world and end up with the highest death rate in Europe ? That's his bloodshed.

I’m sorry Veg but Johnson could have had zero deaths and you’d find fault in his handling, you don’t like him, you don’t like the Conservative Party, you don’t like the result of the 2016 referendum, you don’t like the people for voted against your wishes & you don’t like Tories, with that much hate your the wrong person to judge, it’s like you refereeing a playoff final between AFC Wimbledon & Crystal Palace [emoji23]

Before you ask yes of course I think his handling has been woeful.

Blimey, I’m no fan of but you must really hate Boris to lay all that at the door of one man who, not forgetting nearly died from and is currently self isolating.

I wouldn't worry too much as LlcoolJ thinks Winston Churchill was uneducated and didn't know what he was talking about when it comes to political/economic systems so we are all in good company when it comes to facing his wrath.

Just to say this seems a very strange thread as the OP appears to be complaining that people with partisan opinions are inconsistent in their criticisms ... well duh.

Yes, Churchill was not talking about socialism as we know it. You know, 70 odd years later. Things have changed a bit, or hadn't you noticed. Ergo, your quote is total nonsense when applied to the here and now as virtually every society in the world is a blend of capitalism and socialism.

I've explained this to you before. It's really not complicated.

Attempting to use the fact that I've politely tried to educate you as a stick to beat me with isn't a good look. Just trying to help.....

The bloodshed is caused by Covid, not by Boris (or any other government) - it is a force of nature, a force majeur. It could have been handled better, perhaps - or perhaps belligerent selfish Brits could have self isolated and self distanced more stringently - or maybe a bit of both. Comparing Boris' less than perfect handling of a world wide pandemic unprecedented in our life times to the potential carnage that Trump is in danger of causing is nonsense, well, bullshit actually.
You need to take off your "I hate Boris above anything else regardless" glasses occasionally!

I doubt you even knew it was a Churchill quote let alone what specific definition of Socialism (or capitalism) he had in mind ... but do carry on digging your hole.

Which hole? The one you fall into every time you post your nonsense on here?

Try refuting real points that people write instead of childish whataboutism and people might take you seriously.

As I said, just trying to help.

Woman from ethnic minority and poor background fights to impose her ideas on a load of intransigent men in grey suits aka whinging snowflakes.

Exactly right. It must be an almost impossible job trying to bring change and much needed reform to those men in grey suits, who are notorious for their inability to change much except their choice of wine for lunch. There are many much needed reforms associated with the Home Office and its responsibilities, and I, for one, can't see that if a bit of desk banging, shouting and so on is needed to spur them into some semblance of action that any wrong has been done. Otherwise they'll just muddle along with their own agenda ('Home Secretary, we've always done it this way' etc) and nothing at all changes.

Patel is a woman from a minority background, state educated and wouldn't fit in any way at all into the civil service's idea of what a home secetary should be. It's a tough job at the best of times and given the almost certain opposition of her staff I'm not all surprised she's lost her temper from time to time. Perhaps those who criticise her in earler posts should be reminded of the times when they too have lost their tempers with people who haven't done as they initially asked...

So your defense of Priti is:-

'she has to behave like that because she's not good at her actual job'.

So why did the DWP pay compensation to an employee in lieu of a tribunal, who had been driven to attempted suicide, in 2015, from Ms Patel?

Bloody well does matter what's going on in the private sector, because as you know the Public sector won't be paying the bill, just bleating about how cash starved it is !!

It’s a pity the conservative government is wasting so much money in its drastic mismanagement of all the PPE supplies and suchlike, then.

Yes, you are right, I should not be so hard on him, particularly since all his measures have been led by the science. The late first lockdown, the late second lockdown, him shaking hands with staff at a hospital treating covid patients and his current self isolating after having close proximity meetings with fellow MP's when he could have met them remotely.

...not forgetting he takes every decision in isolation, with the unwavering support of every kingdom, a complete knowledge of the virus (the real scandal here is everything was known UPFRONT), and total obedience by a British public only too willing to carry out instructions. Had he not enjoyed such favourable circumstances, one might have some sympathy. But when all he had to do...
