Today I cam home wiuth my 'John Wayne walk'. Feeling a bit tender in the most awkward of places plus I have 'baggage' to carry around for the next 6 weeks prior to the op.
The op doesn't worry me though. My bro had it done last year and solved all his problems plus a guy was wheeled in who just had the op and he seemed fine after it.
bit concerned that I was peeing claret and now it still looks like Rose. Hopehead is the colour I'm aiming for. Anyway, totter on....
...and thanks again all. Oh and the PR has good food, excellent staff (yes, some totty too) but the entertainment was somewhat lacking. Oh again, my ward mate, who had just had the op, is also a Roost season ticket holder so 'hello' to him should he use this board.

Well doomsday arrives tomorrow.
I know this is not a patch on the tremendously brave guys on the 'leg pain' thread and I know it's a pretty routine op with very noticable results. yes, I know all that.
But this is me and it's all new. I'll be checking out the web for skirts & wigs just incase the surgeon has an off day.
Early start tomorrow, hope to be back here on Wednesday.

They'll look after you at the Princess Royal. Hope everything goes ok for you mate. My dad had a prostate operation two years ago and had to take it steady for a few weeks after - no lifting anything heavy or driving for a fortnight but he said he was so glad he had it done as he was up three or four times every night for a pee which affected his sleep and made him tired.

Thanks all for those messages and the quoted one is pretty much spot on! I also will have a sick note stopping me from hoovering, mowing the lawn or shopping, so it ain't all bad!
