The 74 mile ride from Priestfield to te AMEX via Withdean is done!

Loads of praise to the riders who struggled on a gloriously hot sunny day. We raised £4,400 for charity so far. So thanks to all the donators.

Also a massive thanks to The Albion for making the end so special. We had planned to finish by the club shop, but the club opened the AMEX let us ride to the dugout whilst blaring Sussex by the Sea on the PA system with a great montage on the big screen.

A tremendous end to a tough but enjoyable day

Thanks again to all involved

The club also filmed the ride, made a documentary which will be shown on the big screen before the Gillingham game.

Keep this up Mr Mendoza and people will start to question why you weren't introduced with the legends before the Spurs match. :jester: All jokes aside. Top, top work. As usual.

Brilliant day today, huge thanks to Brett, Alan and Ed for their efforts in organising everything. And thanks to Wardy for helping me fix my SECOND puncture (well, watching me do it)

sadly i'm not sure i'll ever walk again, but the macdonalds on the wayhome certainly rasied a smile.

many thanks to all those involved for making it a cracking experience.

Just got home. As I left Hove Park with my bikes, I got a phonecall that the massive crash on the M25 had stopped an act getting to Komedia so ended up having to go down and do a show with 10 mins notice. Covered in bike grease & dirt, with red eyes, and bow-legged.

An amazing day and Brett, Ed, Alan, everyone - thank you for all your hard work, me and Lucy had a phenomenal experience.

I ache in about 17 parts of my body but it was a fantastic day out with a great bunch of people. Well done to all the cyclists who - great spirit of co-operation in ensuring people weren't left behind. And thanks to Alan and Ed for their driving and to Wardy and Jacci for their moral support and, of course, to our best known media whore for organising it.

Hope my body recovers for WSU tomorrow

Also thanks to Al and Ed for driving the support vehicles and carrying the essentials - jellybabies and Capri sun
I found half a pack of jellybabies left in the back of the minibus. Those that survive will be brought to the Amex tomorrow. The mortality rate may be high, though.

It was a great day out. The toughest bit of the ride was the last quarter ... from the Cock to Dick's. Everyone who took part was a HERO.

And ... guess which NSC LEGEND was waiting at the end of the ride to greet us? None other than the founder of this place - ManxSeagull.
