So yet more utter shite kick off times coming our way. Can’t wait to be playing Brentford in an 8pm kickoff on a Sunday night.
Overseas rights are sold separately by the Premier League.Do PL do an added deal for overseas TV or do Sky TNT sell on to get some money back.
Incredible. So works out at more than £6.2m per game. So to pay for this that is a mighty lot of sky subscribersOverseas rights are sold separately by the Premier League.
Most of the overseas deals run till the end of the 24/25 season, with a few deals running till the end of the 27/28 season.

Pretty hard to convince a young kid to go and see, say, Salford if Man City are on TV.Please remove the 3pm blackout, it won't effect attendances, all lower division supporters will go to matchs because they support their club, they won't stay at home to watch TV.
That's far too sensible. It'll be a Midlands or North-West club, not a London one!So yet more utter shite kick off times coming our way. Can’t wait to be playing Brentford in an 8pm kickoff on a Sunday night.
They do this in La Liga already. No two games kick off at the same timeUltimately we will get to the point where ALL games are televised and they can do that with enough varied kick off times to still avoid the 3pm blackout. Saturday 3pm will become time for televised women's football and non televised lower league games.
There are pretty much 8 slots each weekend as it is for games and then the odd game (Sunday 2pm) will kick off at the same time across different providers.
Friday 8pm, Saturday 12:30pm, Saturday 5pm, Saturday 8pm, Sunday 12pm, Sunday 2pm, Sunday 4:30pm, Monday 8pm
Sunday 7pm was also mooted which would give 9 different times over a weekend.
Yeah, once you’ve sat it on a radiator for three hours to dry it out.Not live. They leave the game behind your wheelie bin and you can watch it when you get home.
They absolutely won't take the fans into account. Because they don't give a hoot about the people actually attending the games.Bring on the 5:30 Saturday kick offs (at home of course). As for away games, one can only hope that Sky take into account fans travelling distance when changing kick offs (except of course for our home games!!).
Minorly annoying from a local ST point of view that both the Albion's Amazon Prime games this month (Brentford, Spurs) are from the Amex. Tho I guess it cuts out the eternal ballsache of train rouletteThat’s a shame - One of the few good perks about Amazon Prime Membership was watching a Christmas series of free PL matches - I was hoping Amazon would be expanding this part of their service - disappointing for those of us who don’t subscribe to Sky - (I generally pay per view just for the Brighton matches so at least more games will be broadcast) - but honestly the amount of money being poured into top flight EPL from broadcasting rights (to the detriment of the rest of the football league) is staggering.
….significant reduction per game than the current deal.Incredible. So works out at more than £6.2m per game. So to pay for this that is a mighty lot of sky subscribers
Lewes, Whitehawk, Worthing etc are available at 3pm on Saturday. And you can sup a pint on the terrace.Ultimately we will get to the point where ALL games are televised and they can do that with enough varied kick off times to still avoid the 3pm blackout. That is great to read. It’s a fantastic deal for Sky, they were paying over £10m per match prior to this new contract.
Very disingenuous of the PL to call it a record deal. The 2016/17 deal was worth £5.14bn over three years, so £1.71bn per season. This new deal is £6.75bn over four years, so £1.69bn per season. Take into account inflation and it’s a significant real terms decrease. Throw in the so called ‘New Deal’ in terms of more money to EFL clubs and it’s a further decrease for those in the PL.
Don't worry, plans are afoot to play these games in Saudi land.Just waiting for a future game to kick off at 2am to take advantage of foreign markets. We're heading that way.
Could you imagine trying to get to the Amex in the middle of the night!
So more £ profit per customer for Sky as no doubt they'll still inch up prices....It’s a fantastic deal for Sky, they were paying over £10m per match prior to this new contract.
