but on 52m turnover, thats only half their money. with a 25 man squad thats a little under 20k p/w average wage cost (which means either the 10k cap was a lie or they had a big squad)

Rather be Blackpool,than Blackburn £58M income and £50M on wages. Then just look at Fulham's debt £190M where has that come from ? Sure a riverbank residence is nice but does The Cottage cover that level of debt ?

I don't quite see what the problem is when clubs spend approx half their income on wages. Should be nothing wrong with this provided that you have built into contracts relegation clauses that reduce wages if you go down.

Interesting to see that Blackburn Rovers only took £6 million in gate / matchday receipts out of a turnover of £58 million. TV and other broadcasting income was £42 million. They blew £50 million on wages, though.

I heard this was a repayment of monies put into the club by Owen Oyston. I think if we should make it to the Premier League, this will be the way that Tony Bloom will get part of his investment back.
