I see Smug’s got the Everton v Newcastle match OFF because, you assume, of injuries to Saint Maximin & Wilson?

Tried to do a palace only they've succeeded in cheating the system.

I assume trains and buses were running to and from selhurst (a ground nowhere near as reliant on public transport as the Amex) before and after the game?

Trains were a nightmare, with Selhurst and Thornton Heath Stations shut.
Good crowd, not the 24,000 announced, probably 21/22,000.

Not a bad effort considering.

Still a damn sight easier to get to for a 3pm ko rather than an out of town ground for 8pm on Boxing Day

Everton vs Newcastle off tomorrow at request of Newcastle. I know they picked up a couple of injuries last night but unless they’ve got a few COVID as well that doesn’t sound right. Means Everton get a nice rest before Sunday.

Everton will have had a two and a half week rest!

Sorry, but how have you possibly come to that figure?

If you are in a stadium, it is very hard to calculate numbers with any accuracy. If you look at famous events over history, numbers present vary wildly depending on the source. How can you possibly estimate there were approximately 3k less than announced?

3k is a very small sample. You're essentially saying, with your naked eye, you ascertained there were 12.5% of supporters not present as announced.

Sounds like absolute guesswork to me.
