The way Sheffield United played today wouldn't give me too many worries if I was a Blades fan. Some of their close passing and movement was very good and in Sander Berge they look to have a class player.
From what I've seen so far I'd be concerned if I was a Burnley, Newcastle or Fulham fan.
Leeds played well but on another today day could easily have lost. However the way they play will always be entertaining. IMHO they'll do well to finish in the top half, it will be interesting to follow their progress.

Bamford gets hammered because he is so posh. His family is the B in JCB, as you probably know. Public school educated, he speaks three languages, and turned down an offer to study at Harvard.

How can he be any good at football with a background like that? But his work rate for the team (especially the tracking back) is immense, he has a surprising burst of pace, is a good header of the ball and scores with both feet. Three goals in three PL games isn't too shabby is it? Pleased for him.

The best news is the clean sheet, that and the fact we won despite a well below par performance. Meslier made two exceptional saves, so gets the plaudits but Koch was immense today. Ben who?

He cost a third of what we offered for White so it looks like a we dodged a financial bullet there...

If I had put a lot of money on relegation for Leeds, as I know some of you guys have, I would be worried. We look brimful of confidence.

Why are you still here?

With respect, it’s still only Fulham and Shef U. Liverpool weren’t at their best IMO.

I don’t think you’ll go down, but you are far from being a top half team which so many of your fans were predicting before the season started.

Anyway, time will tell.

Has Bielsa signed his contract yet BTW? Genuine question as not seen anything about it.

Pretty sure he signed one until the end of the season, but confirmed it's his final year with them. I may be making that up!

They snuck by a Fulham team who have looked dreadful, and beaten a Sheffield United team who haven’t scored in a ridiculous amount of time and have been in dreadful form since the return of football last season.

Hardly reason for such distasteful gloating really is it, one clean sheet and Koch is the next Maldini :lolol: They really are a few sandwiches short of a picnic in Yorkshire aren’t they....

Bamford gets stick because he’s been a bang average Championship striker for pretty much all his career. If Bielsa really has turned him into the next Harry Kane then he might be a cross between God and Harry Potter after all. Let’s see how he goes over a whole season though.

Your last two games have been the sort of gimme you have to convert if you want to stay up. Congratulations on just about sneaking both of them.

Yes he has signed a one year contract.

This is his third one year contract, actually. Yet another example of how different he is from other managers. He is paid a lot of money, (more than the Man U manager for example) who else would voluntarily make it shorter than the other party asks for?

Huddersfield had a pretty exciting start to their Premier League career too and we know what happened to them.

So long way to go yet Leeds fans. But you’ve done what you had to do in these games, so fair play on that.

I worry for Sheff Utd though, I think Brewster should think long and hard before joining them.

I watched a fair bit of the game. You were shit, sheff Utd were worse. You are in for a very long and unpleasant season.
Have you reported it to the authorities .. you know, the theft of Bielsa ball because it was conspicuous by its absence!

Football is dead with handball decisions like that, absolutely dead and buried. A total disgrace.

So now defenders can’t jump wIt’s their arms either? Shocking.

Utter joke of a decision. No way on this earth should a penalty be given for that. Pathetic.

I hope anti VAR drones like Micah Richards realise that this is not VAR but some daft change of the handball laws
