It's not inconceivable that we could be 14th by the end of Sunday. Even if one or two don't go to form, we are likely to be bottom half by the time Palace come to town on Tuesday night. Talking of which, Palace v Stoke could provide a useful guide ahead of the big one.

Friday 24th
West Ham v Leicester (20:00)

Saturday 25th
Palace v Stoke
Man Utd v Albion
Newcastle v Watford
Swansea v Bournemouth
Spurs v West Brom
Liverpool v Chelsea (17:30)

Sunday 26th
Southampton v Everton (13:30)
Burnley v Arsenal (14:00)
Huddersfield v Man City (16:00)

Draw against Man U and it's a guaranteed top half finish before the big one

Although, to be honest, if we bear United I won't give a monkey's about any other results, even if Palarse were to smash six past Stoke!

All about the cushion over the bottom clubs. Not too fussed about whether we are 10th, 11th or 14th in November.

Thus, even though Leicester, Stoke and Bournemouth wins will likely see them all catch or overtake us, they are still the right results - far more important that Swansea, West Ham and Palace keep losing.

Draws all round would be alright though

Interesting that for his first home game Moyes has dropped Noble to the bench - he's been one of the more vocal "This isn't good enough" voices from the Hammers.

The crossing from Wet Sham is amazing.

Moyes in recent interviews has sounded like a cross between Stanley Baxter and Alan Partridge - snooty, ignorant, deluded and a teensy bit gay. Exactly what they want in the East End to raise spirits and bring the best out of their flaccid latent talent.

Not

Long may it continue
